The BC Financial Services Authority issued a $2,500 administrative penalty notice to a managing broker whose former brokerage had not submitted a complete annual Accountant's Report for its June 30, 2023 financial year by the October 28, 2023 deadline. The regulator treated the missing complete filing as a first contravention of Rule 28(1). The notice allows reconsideration within 30 days of receipt and doesn't establish whether the penalty was later confirmed.

BCFSA relied on the 120 day reporting requirement in section 75 of the Real Estate Services Rules. The report remained outstanding when the notice was issued on May 5, 2025. A recipient may seek reconsideration and provide evidence of due diligence. The notice isn't a determination following a contested hearing, and the public record doesn't show any later outcome.
