Yukon (Government of) v Yukon Zinc Corporation, 2022 YKSC 2

The Yukon Supreme Court approved a mineral-interest sale, ended an unsuccessful receivership bidding process and ordered time-limited protection for bids.

In January 2022, the Supreme Court of Yukon approved the receiver's sale of a 60% interest in the Logan mineral assets to Almaden and the termination of the unsuccessful sale process. It also ordered temporary confidentiality for bid materials, with documents concerning the Almaden transaction to be unsealed after the receiver's certificate was filed. The three-year sealing order was subject to further court order, so its present status can't be inferred from these reasons. This is a historical case card.
