Alberta selected 36 organizations for grants supporting people affected by gender based violence. The grants were awarded, not newly opened for applications.

On October 23, 2026, Alberta announced $2.5 million in Community Pathways to Justice grants to 36 organizations supporting people affected by gender based violence. The selected projects include safety planning, crisis intervention and help navigating the justice system.

The province reports that individual grants range from $15,000 to $150,000, with recipients across Calgary, Edmonton and other regions. These are announced awards following a June application window, not a newly available funding round. The public recipient list allows nonprofit boards and community partners to identify where support is being directed and assess opportunities to coordinate services.
