About Remediation.

Remediation is a single-matter, one-time purchase designed for situations that are already in motion but have not yet become litigation. It covers one active matter only and must remain pre-litigation throughout.

You retain access to your Record and to your delivered Counsel memo per Binder's storage retention terms — you simply cannot add new material to the matter once it is closed.

No-refund policy: Remediation purchases are final and non-refundable, with no exceptions. No refund is available, including where litigation is commenced on the matter — whether by you or against you by a third party.

Every tier gives you the full platform — Record, Advocate, Counsel, and University. The tiers differ in three ways: how many active matters you can run at once, how many Counsel credits are included, and how many user seats your organization gets. Remediation is a one-time purchase for a single pre-litigation matter. Sole, Pro, and Enterprise are annual subscriptions that scale with the size of your exposure and your team.
Counsel credits are how you request written legal advice from a licensed Alberta lawyer through the platform. An initial memo on a new matter is 30 credits, a follow-up on an existing matter is 20 credits, and a priority request is 10 additional credits. Credits are allocated to your account at the start of each billing period. Unused credits do not roll over. If you run low, you can purchase additional credit packs from your account.
Yes. You can upgrade between annual tiers at any time from your account. The difference is prorated against the remainder of your current term, and the upgraded allocations — matter slots, Counsel credits, and user seats — become available immediately. Remediation is a one-time product; it does not convert into an annual tier automatically, but you can subscribe to an annual tier at any time and keep your Remediation matter active alongside it.
Remediation exists for a specific situation: something has already happened, it is not yet in litigation, and you need the structure to handle it properly — once. It is a one-time membership scoped to a single pre-litigation matter and is priced accordingly. The annual tiers exist for organizations with ongoing legal exposure that needs continuous support, not a one-off fix.
All purchases are final and non-refundable. Annual tiers (Sole, Pro, Enterprise) can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refund is issued. Remediation purchases are final, with no exceptions — no refund is available, including where litigation is commenced on the matter, whether by you or against you by a third party.
