Introducing Binder — Legal Claim Management Built for Canada

← Back to news

After years of building toward this moment, we are launching Binder — a legal claim management platform designed from the ground up for how claim work actually happens in Canada.

Why we built Binder

Claims fail. Not because the facts are bad, but because the documentation is. The wrong thing was recorded. The right thing was recorded too late. The person who knew didn't tell the person who needed to know. We have seen this pattern play out across insurance, employment, governance, and facility management for years — and we built Binder to fix it.

We are genuinely excited to put this platform into the hands of the professionals who need it. Binder is not a theoretical exercise or a startup pitch. It is the product of real legal claim work, built by people who have lived inside these files and know what breaks when documentation falls short.

What Binder does

Binder brings four tools together on a single platform:

Record captures what happened, when it happened, and who knew — in real time, as a claim develops. Not after the fact. Not reconstructed from memory weeks later. The documentation is structured to hold up under scrutiny because that is exactly where it ends up.

Advocate assembles the facts into a coherent narrative when a claim needs internal advocacy — for a review, a regulatory submission, or a settlement discussion.

Counsel connects claim files to legal review. When a matter crosses the threshold where legal advice is needed, Counsel facilitates the referral. Solicitor-client privilege attaches from the first referral, and the platform preserves that privilege throughout.

University is the education layer. Every course is scenario-based, written from real claim patterns, and authored by practising lawyers. The curriculum covers six faculties and is designed so professionals learn from situations that actually happen — not textbook hypotheticals.

Who Binder is for

Adjusters documenting a property loss. HR managers conducting a workplace investigation. Board secretaries tracking a governance complaint. Facility administrators responding to a regulatory order. Risk managers mapping organizational exposure before it becomes a claim.

These are the people we built Binder for — professionals across Canada who need to get documentation right because what they record today becomes evidence tomorrow. Binder is cross-Canada, with per-course jurisdiction context so professionals in any province can work within the legal framework that applies to them.

What comes next

This launch is the beginning. The platform is live, the curriculum is growing, and we are actively building the tools that will make legal claim management faster, more reliable, and more defensible for every professional who touches a claim file.

We are building Binder because we believe the people who handle claims deserve better tools than spreadsheets, disconnected systems, and filing cabinets. We are excited to finally share what we have been working on.
