Manitoba Swaps Its Employer Registration Form for Foreign Worker Recruitment

Manitoba Employment Standards rolled out a new Employer Registration application on August 19, 2026, and stopped accepting the old version on September 16, 2026. The registration duty itself isn't new. It's the form that changed.

What changed in August Manitoba Employment Standards has replaced the application form employers use to register for temporary foreign worker recruitment. According to the Manitoba Employment Standards page, the new Employer Registration application became available on August 19, 2026. The department didn't shut off the old form that same day. Employers could still use the previous application for a defined window, until September 16, 2026, when it stopped being accepted. That window runs exactly 28 days, or four weeks. It's a detail worth being precise about, because it wasn't a hard cutover on a single date. Both forms worked for a period, then a firm deadline arrived for the old one. An employer that submitted the previous application before September 16 was following an accepted process at the time. An employer trying to submit it after that date would run into a form the province no longer processes. It's also worth being clear about what this announcement is and isn't. It's a change to the document employers use to register.
